Going to the mission field….in the 21st century

Today, we said goodbye to my husband’s family. It was sad, because his mom and his sister are weepy people. You know the kind with genuine Crocodile tears. The kind of people you want to find a silver lining for.

This got me thinking. I am thankful to be living in the present Internet age. I say this, because if we would have been leaving the country in the ’80s, we would not see them for a few years. Since we live in 2014, when my husband said goodbye to his family, we could say, “Don’t worry, we will Skype or FaceTime.”

Thank God for small blessings.
